“Champion”

Age: 19

Sex: Mare

Price: $8000

Scope/Disciplines: Polo, trail rides, lesson horse, umpire horse

Level of fitness and training: Orig. a track horse, Perfect for beginners and has played up to 10 goals (faster polo). She is our best lesson horse, has taught 50+ people polo, always rented out and very athletic and stable.

Reason for sale: Time to start looking for a new job, we feel we have another 2/3 years as a lesson and school horse. Personally I love to use her to get my mind right as the first or last horse to win games. School Paid 12k when she was 15 years old. Came from the same high goal polo pro as “Nightcrawler”. Stable and quiet. Still performs strong. Quiet enough for any rider.

Veterinary status & Recent treatments( last 24 months)- Dentist work done every November By Landon Aimes. Lameness test every season. In a tournament in November 2020 a mistake by a rider reached way too far in front of her legs at a full speed for a “hook” (defensive polo play), mallet tripped the horse by accident, Champion instantly stopped and was careful not to step on the player. Stood over the rider out of concern, did not run away or walk away til the rider was able to stand up. She developed an abscess on the chest was not lame but was put on stall rest until season was over when the abscess went away.

Suitable Riders-All riders/ do not want to see her go to a high performance job. Casual riding, trail riding, pleasure riding, and lessons is a strong suited job for her. We played around with polo bending and obstacle courses with her. Moved cattle in large acreage. A go to horse for lessons, clinics, and tournaments and trail rides.

Vices & Quirks- Gives first time riders a test at our gate in the arena, not dangerous just will turn towards the barn and if the rider doesn’t know neck reining.

Trailers- Has not pulled back ever for us, we use her to separate the “witchy” Mares that fight in trailers. Very laid back.

Night Crawler

Yes, my kids named her off Marvel comics.

Age: 20

Sex: Mare

Price: $7800

Scope/Disciplines- Orig. a track horse, Perfect for beginners, has played up to 10 goals (faster polo). Our best lesson horse. Has taught 50+ people polo. Always rented. Always used for our trail rides we sell. Personally I have done a few rounds of non-competitive “cutting” when challenged by a past girlfriend. Still makes me laugh as she got down low and instantly was able to cut or separate the steer. I’m not a cutting cowboy, but shamed her professional trained “cutting” horse in a english saddle. Ladies love her.

Level of fitness and training-Orig. a track horse, Perfect for beginners, has played up to 10 goals (faster polo) with us. One of our best lesson horses. Has taught 50+ people polo. Always rented. Personally I love to use her as my “shake and bake” horse to win games when dribbling or need a push button horse to listen to legs, and body to stop and turn. School Paid 10k when she was 16 years old. Came from the same high goal polo pro as champion. Stable and quiet. Very push button, stops on a small close of hand or light “pump”, very handy.

Reason for sale-  Time to start looking for a new job, we feel we have another 2/3 years as a lesson and school horse. Will please most riders.

Veterinary status & Recent treatments( last 24 months)- Dentist work done every November By Landon Aimes. Lameness test every season. No injuries in the past 24 months, no treatments besides for small cuts.

Vices & Quirks- When small children wave hands or approach up to fast to her she has pulled back when outside a stall in busy areas like 12 to 40 horses tack up for events. We simply prep her in a stall next to the tack room and she does not do this quirk. Personally I can do all tacking and prep without her doing this pull back habit, but since I can’t be everywhere at once or instructors can’t, this can happen.
